The Pantry

When I first began this roller coaster ride I had no idea what to buy at the supermarket. Where do you begin when the ingredients you've grown up with and relied on your whole life are suddenly off limits?

Here's a list of the things I always make sure I have on hand. In addition to the list we always have a full fruit bowl and lots of vegetables in the house. Finding these ingredients can seem daunting at first but I promise you that by sourcing real wholefood ingredients you'll be doing your family a great service. These are real, natural ingredients - they're great for you! I buy most of my flours from my local food co-op. Is there somewhere like this near you? if not, maybe you could set one up. How about an organic shop, or buying online? The supermarket is only one option - there are lots of different ways to buy our food.
